The Order Of Merit competition is based on the 10 best accumulated Stableford scores achieved by each player counting to their total, with all scores counting in all qualifying competitions when handicap conditions apply. The Order Of Merit competition will run from the beginning of October to the end of September, with players able to play as many qualifying competition as they wish in order to improve their 10 best Stableford scores over the 12 month qualifying period.
Where players have return more than 10 competition scores, their best 10 scores are shown on our "Master Scoreboard" Order Of Merit result page.
Ties based on players best 10 scores will be resolved by using the players best 9 scores, the best 8 scores etc. until there is no tie.
Will players please note that all Medal rounds are converted into Stableford points for handicap purposes and their Stableford scores from all Medal competitions will count towards their "Order Of Merit" scores.
So it is important to remember if any player who has a ‘bad’ score on a hole(s) or does not complete a hole(s),for any reason, to continue to record a score on subsequent holes as his score could still counted towards his or hers "Eclectic" or "Order of Merit" scores, thus sustaining his or hers golfing interest and at the same time providing useful handicap information.
